Writers Seminars
Three seminars open to the public will be held
in conjunction with the 2008 Spring Book Show at the
Hilton Atlanta, March 28-29.
Writers seminar attendees receive free admission to the Spring Book Show.
Seminar 1 - Grand Salon E, 2nd floor
"Writing, Editing, Publishing and Marketing Your Book" – 2 days, March 28-29, Friday 8:45am-4:45pm with 1-hr lunch break at noon; Saturday 9:15am-4:45pm with 1-hr lunch break at noon Emphasis on marketing; 18 presenters including Ed Nawotka, southern correspondent, Publishers Weekly, and book columnist, Bloomberg News; Ahmad Meradji, CEO, Apex Book Manufacturing; Chris Staros, award-winning graphic novels publisher; John Shableski, Diamond Book Distributors; and Russ Marshalek, Wordsmiths Books of Decatur/Atlanta.

"How To Prepare Your Book for the Market: Writing a Killer Proposal and Editing for Maximum Marketability" – Sat March 29, 9am-4pm with 1-hr lunch break at noon One day of intensive instruction by Patricia Fry, executive director, Small Publishers, Artists and Writers Network, and award-winning book doctor Bobbie Christmas.
Seminar 3 - Grand Salon B, 2nd floor
"Earning a Comfortable Living through Freelance Writing and Self-Publishing" – Fri March 28, 9am-4pm with 1-hr lunch break at noon One day of intensive instruction by Peter Bowerman, author of the best-selling “Well-Fed Writer” and “Well-Fed Self-Publisher” books, and Angela Durden, children’s book author and business consultant.
