Strength in Numbers

Presenter:  Jeff Milchen, American Independent Business Alliance (AMIBA)

Based on the Independent Business AllianceSM model we successfully pioneered in Boulder, Colorado (BIBA) and incorporating the experiences of subsequent efforts in other communities, this workshop introduces the benefits of building an alliance among community-based businesses, citizens and community organizations in your home town and offers an introduction to how IBAs work. Designed for independent business owners and IBA organizers, this workshop provides participants an up-close look at how the Independent Business Alliance (IBA) functions and the many valuable lessons we've learned through experience. It also describes American Independent Business Alliance (AMIBA) and our role in helping IBAs nationwide succeed. We include lots of Q&A and discussion time.
